Today Room 10 sampled lemonades from the trees at school. Thanks to the Waka Bee's for pollinating our school fruit trees! Just for fun we pulled the last of the carrots and planted new seeds. We recorded what we had learnt in our Bee books. Tomorrow we'll create honeycomb and make our own bee dances.

Room 7's time to harvest some carrots
It's so lovely to grow your own kai at school. Room 7 had a chance to harvest some carrots. It was close to lunchtime so we washed them and ate them! Yum Yum. It is wonderful to try new things.
We are learning about Sustainability at Waka, which means nothing goes to waste. So we took our carrot tops to Ms Von to feed her rabbit Besie, and we put the uneaten carrots to our worms to gobble up. Thanks for all your mahi worms!
Room 6's Carrot Feast
Wow, it was Room 6's turn to harvest some carrots, what a surprise it was. We went and showed Ms Von, Mrs Samuel, and Ms Poole. Then we came back and washed, studied, drew, and ate them!
