Storm Water Sleuthing

Our Eco Warriors were lucky to find out more about our

storm water drain that is monitored by Tread Lightly. We are going to record data each term, to show the types of waste that is being sent to our waterways through the waste water system.

Monique was awesome at telling us what to do and what to look out for.

We look forward to seeing her once a term to monitor and record our findings.

Year Rua Bees and how we can help.

We looked at ways to help the bees.....

One of the actions we thought of is that we could plant more flowers.

We just love Laurie Berkner

Here is the song that we love and used these instructions for our own seeds.

Year Tahi learning about Eating a Rainbow and recaping Bean life cycle

We consolidated our learning from last week, by looking at the bean & apple life cycles

Have you seen your child's own life cycle in their book bag?

We learnt how important it is to eat 5 servings of colourful fruit and vegetables each day and created our own fruit and vege rainbows.

Lastly we tasted persimmons from Miss Coker's grandmother's tree.

Tasting Persimmons:

"Mmmm it tastes so good" - AmyRose

"When are we going to eat a rainbow?" - Johnny

"It is Karaka colour!"-Kiyaan

Torres- " It tastes like mango!"

Mindhush - "It smells yummy!"
