Being Kind with The Youth Project

This term, Claire from the Youth Project will be working with all our tamariki to explore what kindness is and how we can be kind to our environment and the community.  Each year group will take a different action to care for our tangata.

We learnt that there are 3 aspects of kindness:

1. Being friendly

2. Being generous

3. Being considerate

All these things are FREE.

28/4 YEAR FIVE

We spent an hour making a pipe cleaner flower bouquet and card for the elderly community or local volunteers. We were kind to our buddies and worked hard to collaborate.

It was a wonderful opportunity to show kindness in our community.

29/4 YEAR ONE

Year One created a pillow box with a pocket hug inside.  They worked creatively to make their boxes beautiful. They were able to give their wooden pocket hug a BIG HUG before they popped them into the packet. The boxes are going to be delivered with Bellyful meals to families with young children.  We're learning to think about other people and to do things each day to brighten someone's day. Well done Year Tahi!
