Year Two visited the Mara Kai to see the Waka Bees pollinating our broad bean flowers. While we were there we noticed the carrots looking lush, so we each picked one to eat.
Ryder "It was really yummy and amazing"
Taylor "It was fresh just like in the fridge"
Rueben "The carrot was crunchy and sweet"
Dakota "I just wanted to say I loved it"
Leo "It was really good I wanted to have thousands. It was so satisfying pulling them out"
Margoh "It feels smooth"
Leleya "When I was eating it it felt crunchy"
Willow "The leaves at the top are soft"
After we finished munching we learnt about how bees are mathematicians. Did you know they create tessellating hexagons to form their honeycomb? We created our own hexagon honeycomb with popsicle sticks and then we drew them too.
