Year Tahi sharing and caring in the Mara Kai


Today Year One shared their water with their baby beans.  We are learning that living things have certain requirements to survive. We made scarecrows to hopefully keep the pesky rabbit and blackbirds from eating our veges. 

Lastly we shared super sweet and sour grapefruit from Mrs Daniel's trees at home.  Do you like the photos Ms Everitt took of our sour faces?

Planting Broad Beans!

 Year 1 had fun learning about what a plant needs to grow. 

We have planted some beans in the Senses garden.

Year Rima Discovering Sustainable Energy









 I wonder the year 5 classes are doing in the photos above?


After looking at how we can be sustainable with our waste, Year Rima are now looking at how we can use energy sustainably. First we explored types of energy and how they transform.  Next we generated static electricity with balloons.

Well done everyone who walked, biked or scootered to school.  That's a sustainable choice!

Next we'll look at how electricity is generated in Aotearoa and create our own circuits.
